Important Update for next Wednesday! The schedule for Wednesday, October 12, 2011 is being modified to make sure students get both instruction and the PSAT. School will start at 8:00 a.m. and get out at 10:55 a.m.. It will not be a late start day for anyone. All students must come to period 2 at 8:00 a.m. Periods 2, 4, 6 will meet. There will be a short 30 minute lunch break and the PSAT will start precisely at 11:30 AM. Students taking the PSAT are advised to eat lunch at school that day. The PSAT is expected take 2 hours and 15 minutes. Students who are unable to attend their Davis High School class will be excused. The DHS schedule does not change.

PSAT: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
*Students will not be admitted after test begins.
*Room assignments will be posted on the white board, outside the library.
*Students will need to bring a photo ID; pencils ( #2 pencil only); calculator (check your brochure distributed in English classes for models accepted); no cell phones or electronic devices.
PSAT TEST – 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12th for Da Vinci Junior High
Emerson students in 9th grade will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT exam. This exam is practice for the SAT and studying is not required. This exam will help you assess your strengths and weaknesses, improve your future SAT/ACT score and assess college readiness. You need to arrive at Emerson before at 9:25 a.m. for check-in (you will not be admitted once the testing starts). If you have a 1st period class at DSHS or do not have a 1st period, you need to arrive early that day before 9:25 a.m. Tests will be administered in the Emerson classrooms. Your room assignment will be announced by your English teacher next week. Please review the attached booklet and discuss with your parent/guardian.
You will need to bring: 1) a photo I.D. 2) A calculator (check your brochure for models accepted)
Other items to note:
Two # 2 pencils will be provided by Emerson however feel free to bring your own #2 pencil(s).
NO CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES ALLOWED IN TEST ROOMS.
