Internship Program

DVCA students will be given the opportunity to experience firsthand the realities of the work place by completing a 40-hour internship during their senior year.  After successful completion of all requirements, they will earn 2 hours of practical arts credit.

This experience will enhance their resume, boost their marketability, and teach them the basic responsibilities of a real-life job.  Students are matched to internship opportunities based on their career interests and abilities.

The goal of the program is to provide students with hands-on experience in a field of interest and to help them narrow-in on their abilities, form opinions about future jobs, and make decisions toward college and work pursuits while providing them with a valuable educational experience. Students will be matched to unpaid internship opportunities based upon their career interests and abilities with the goal of making decisions about college and future career pursuits.  The internship coordinator will assist students in contacting the employer and setting up the internship.
