Application, materials, and information regarding the 2012-2013 Da Vinci Academy application process for Grades 10-12 are now available at the Da Vinci High School (DVHS) office (1400 E. 8th Street, Davis, California, 95616) and online here (see below).

Applications are due Monday March 12, 2012, before 4 pm in the DVHS Office

Step One: Complete the application form (provided in three formats below – you only need to use one not all of them).

• Application for Da Vinci High 2012-2013 (pdf  to print and fill out)
• Application for Da Vinci High 2012-2013 (online pdf form to type in information, save on your computer, fill out and email as attachment or print and mail or drop off at DVHS office)
• Application for Da Vinci High 2012-2013 in Rich Text Format for most word processors; NOTE: the form should automatically download to your browsers download folder when you click this link. It does not preview in the browser window. If it doesn’t download automaticalyly, right click on the link and select “Save” to save the file to hard drive then fill it out, resave it, and print it out to mail or drop off at the DVHS office or you can email it  as an attachment to: Debbie Martin (dmartin@djusd.k12.ca.us)

Step Two: Write a personal statement explaining why you feel that Da Vinci would be beneficial to you, and what you are willing to offer to the school (any length is okay).

Step Three: Arrange for a recommendation form to be completed. Ask someone who knows you well to complete the form. We suggest teachers, clergy, scout leaders, employers, etc.  Download and complete the recommendation form  and send to to Debbie Martin via email (dmartin@djusd.k12.ca.us) or print out and mail or deliver to Da Vinci at 1400 E. 8th  Street, Room 12,Davis, CA 95616.  It can be hand delivered to the Da Vinci High School office (map) by the person making the recommendation in a sealed envelope, but not by the student or the student’s parents.

Step Four: Submit your completed application and personal statement in person, email or by mail to the DVHS office at 1400 E. 8th Street, no later than 4 pm on Monday, March 12, 2012 (mailed applications must be received by the deadline).

• Family Informational Meetings (“Parent Night”): Feb. 21 & 23 at 6:30-8:00pm at DVHS campus Rm 18 (1400 E. 8^th Street). Students welcome too! Parents and students of incoming 11th & 12th Graders are encouraged to attend this session. (Same presentation both nights.)
• World War I Museum Night & Open House at Da Vinci High School March 8, 6:00-8:30pm (exhibits located through out the campus). Come see examples of current Da Vinci 10th grade projects.
• Incoming 10th Grade Student Preview Days: Feb. 27 & 28. Report to MPR when arrive on DVHS campus to get checked in. RSVP to Debbie Martin (530-757-7154) Please arrange to get student attendance cleared at your school.

• Sophomores: Once you have been accepted to Da Vinci, complete the Sophomore Program Planner (details TBA)
